The night kicked off with Shane McMahon still looking to bury the friendly duo of Kevin Owens and Sami Zayn.
Though he disagreed with SmackDown GM Daniel Bryan on how to handle the BFFs, McMahon did support adding a no disqualification stipulation to Owens’ match with Orton as well as barring Zayn from ringside. Following Orton beating Owens from pillar to post, The Viper took the match to the outside and into the crowd. Holding the edge for most of the match this was Orton’s only tactical mistake.
While fighting on the entrance ramp, a wild Zayn appeared from the crowd and attacked Orton with a steel chair away from ringside. The opening was all Owens need to mount a comeback.Attacking the injured knee of Randy Orton, Kevin Owens would have his hand raised after a frog splash off the top rope.
